Tink @ o2 Islington - 26.06.19

Starting off the night was DJ Scythers with Jazzie hosting. Jazzie has been fairly quiet in the scene recently however he came out tonight and definitely got the crowd pumped! DJ Scythers also done his thing up there and was probably one of the best DJ sets I’ve witnessed before a gig. He came out with multiple genres from r&b to dancehall. He got the whole crowd pumped and ready to turn up. The opening acts were Monique Lawz and Ryan De La Cruz. Monique came out with a lot of energy which I loved - the performance was great. She had a dance routine with back up dancers and was also able to keep singing whilst everything was going on. It’s rare for U.K artists to give a full on performance like she did, so I’m glad we got to witness that. She definitely had a great stage presence and she looked banging! We then had Ryan De La Cruz who entered the stage with rockstar energy. I hadn’t heard of him before but his performance showed he has a good voice. Tink came out to ‘on to the next one’, as soon as she touched the stage the crowd went crazy obviously, she looked amazing too. We’ve been waiting to see Tink for yearsss! We would talk about it all the time because she’s one of those singers we’ve supported from the start of her career around 2012/2013 . To see her live in our city was amazing and she definitely lived up to expectations. The crowd was female dominated and everyone was singing out their hearts all night the energy in the room was indescribable! Tink performed all her “industry hits” from ‘million’ to her verse from ‘don’t tell nobody’ and bought us right back to the beginning with ‘treat me like somebody’ and ‘count on you’ . I enjoyed the nostalgia brought on by the show and I’m so glad she gave us a range of different songs. She also had a special surprise for us - she bought out Lady Leshurr on stage to perform ‘Black Panther’ and she shelled the place down! She finished off with one of our personal favourites “MIA” which was a perfect ending. Unfortunately, we were not able to bring a camera into the venue. However, videos taken on an iPhone will be below.
